Welcome to Hauntings!

This is the seventh annual Utah Hauntings Contest, a celebration of the ancient art of oral storytelling and the spooky folklore of Halloween. Formally run by April Johsnon and the Timpanogos Storytelling Institute, Hauntings is now put on by Stephen and Teresa Gashler with Great Hall Theatrical. Your tickets help pay for the venue and the prize for the winner.

How to Vote

When it's time to vote, choose your favorite two storytellers from the list below, and text their first names to 801-900-3035. You must send us two names for your vote to count. (This helps us ensure that people aren't just voting for their friends and family.)

Tyler has been a story teller and performer his entire life. He has performed in many plays and musicals.

Lynn Wing

Lynn began telling stories while a student at BYU. Her favorite eerie stories are when ordinary lives are turned upside down by unknown forces.

All children and teens under eighteen are invited to be a part of the Great Hall Musical Theatre Workshop for Young Actors, a four-week-long program teaching skills in singing, dancing, acting, and auditioning. There will be several Christmas-themed plays in which all students, grouped by age, will be given parts. Following the workshop, there will be two evenings of performances. Each student will be given two complimentary tickets to share with family or friends.
